Talia Raffel

Co-Founder, Teacher

 Talia Raffel is a Angier alum and rising senior at Newton South High School. She has lots of experience babysitting in Newton and working at summer camps. Her favorite subjects in school are biology and history. Outside of school she enjoys fencing and drawing. 

Emi Lundberg

Co-Founder, Teacher

Emi is a rising senior at the Cambridge School of Weston and a Mason Rice alum. Her favorite subjects are History and Chemistry. Outside of school, she has worked at multiple summer camps in the Greater Boston area and provides weekly childcare services to a church in Newton. She loves rock climbing, playing violin, and hockey!

Sam Solomon


Sam is a recent graduate of Needham High School and a rising freshman at the University of Virginia, as well as a graduate of Newman Elementary School. His favorite subjects in school are biology and history, and he has tutoring experience in math and science. Outside of school, Sam has been a camp counselor and enjoys skiing and rock climbing.

Amy Huang


Amy Huang is rising senior at Newton South High School. She is on the Newton South volleyball and speech team. Her favorite subjects are chemistry, math, and ceramics. She has experience with many kids through her church Sunday Schools and mission trips. In her free time she like to listen to music and talk with her friends.

Sophie Blumberg


Sophie Blumberg is a rising senior at Newton South High School. She is on the Newton South track and cross country team. In addition, Sophie is the co-president of best buddies, a club at her school that helps kids with disabilities make valuable friendships and connections. Sophie’s favorite subjects in school are science and child development. Outside of school, Sophie is a tutor for both elementary and middle school children. She also works in the kindergarten class at her Sunday school. In her free time, Sophie loves spending time with her friends and family (and her dog!).

Henry Blanchette


Henry is currently going into his senior year at Newton South High School. He went to Zervas Elementary school, and his favorite subjects are biology and history. Henry is an editor for the Lion’s Roar newspaper at Newton South and previously spent 2 summers as a counselor in training at the JCC Kaleidoscope Camp. In his free time, Henry enjoys cooking and listening to music.

Kristian Lundberg

Director of Outreach and Social Media

Kristian is a Newton North alum who graduated from Columbia University in 2017. He currently works at Tufts University as a researcher studying youth civic engagement. Kristian has experience tutoring middle and high school students in Math, English, History, and standardized test preparation.
